The Stone Washing Cup
2007, Jerusalem Stone
Height 11cm, Diameter 9cm.
Signed by the artist
The artist has created a unique washing cup made of Jerusalem stone and brass. The design was inspired by the cups used in the holy temple of Jerusalem. The priest would take the holy blood of the offerings and pour it on the corners of the altar. The vessel is carved from a sold piece of Jerusalem stone quarried from the very same location used 2000 years ago. A brass ring with the blessing for washing hands adorns the cup.
Each creation is signed by the artist and is available in a limited edition.
